Judge Special Court Customs Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan earlier today reserved his judgment to conduct an inquiry against supermodel Ayyan Ali in the infamous money laundering case.
According to details, as hearing started Custom’s counsel Aun Muhammad told the court that according to Customs Act 2010 amount earned by illegal means falls under Money laundering act and requested the court to order an inquiry against her under the Act.
Ayyan’s counsel (former governor Punjab) Latif Khosa argued before the court that according to Sindh High Court judgment inquiry against her does not come under the act.
After hearing arguments from both sides the court reserved judgment till March 30.
Meanwhile, the court on her another application to grant exemption from appearing before the court, adjourned the hearing till April 28.
Ayyan was arrested by Custom officials on March 14 2015 from Benazir Bhutto International Airport who recovered US$508,000 from her. (APP)
