SARGODHA: The number of children’s deaths in the wake of lack of facilities in Sargodha district headquarters hospital has reached to 21 in four days with two more deaths in the hospital today.
The deaths that first reported on November 18 are still continuing to take place amid lack of measures to contain fatalities.
The investigation team formed by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has held medical superintendent hospital Sami Iqbal responsible and replaced him with Director Health Services Najamul Hasan Kazmi.
Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had on Wednesday also summoned report from the provincial health department after eight children died in the hospital.
The parents of the deceased had blamed the lack of doctors and negligence of the hospital staff main reasons for deaths.
