Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his ‘wax’ debut in Singapore, London, Hong Kong and Bangkok on April 28 at Madame Tussauds.
The museum revealed Modi’s first-ever ‘meeting’ with his wax counterpart in a video yesterday, which created many a hilarious comment on social media.
According to some reports the wax statues took four months to create and cost £150,000.
The video shows the wax Modi dressed in a cream waistcoat, kurta and tang pajama — incidentally, the real Modi donned the exact same outfit for his photo op, resulting in some pretty surreal moments.
But what does Modi think about all this? When the PM ‘met’ his wax counterpart he said: “”What can I say? As far as art is concerned, the Madame Tussauds team is exceptional at what they do… What Lord Brahma does normally is what the artists there are doing. Today, I had an opportunity as the prime servant of my people to meet my wax figure.”
