Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan firmed to focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
Speaking at PTI’s Dharna convention in Islamabad on Sunday, Khan said “God willing, we will prove that KPK stands apart from other provinces in term of merit and good governance,”
He further added that KPK government is ready to hold local government elections and that delay is due to Election Commission of Pakistan.
Talking about the good governance in KPK, he claimed that police have been depoliticised.
“We will plant one billion trees across the province over the next five years,” he said.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would focus on education, health and police system.
“We have changed the health system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Government-run schools will be at par with private schools.”
He also made it clear that PTI would not back off from its demand to probe last elections.
He warned that the whole country would be shut down if PTI’s demands were not met.
The PTI chief lambast at the federal government for the petroleum crisis and said “Nawaz Sharif himself has shut down Pakistan by causing shortage of petrol,” he said.
Khan said that PTI might hold intra-party elections again.
