Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said yesterday that the government can bring such amendments in the constitution which shall guarantee transparency of upcoming elections.
Speaking at the session of Electoral Reforms Committee, Dar claimed that the committee has received 290 recommendations from general public adding that the reforms are in final shape while NADRA and printing officials are called in the next session.
Meanwhile, Secretary Election Commission told media that a session on ex-ECP additional secretary Afzal Khan’s allegations will be held today.
According to him, all reform packages and drafts of new laws were presented before the committee.
The secretary while demanding legislation to install bio-metric system and voting right for overseas Pakistanis told the session that all election cases will be resolved through electronic voting system while new delimitation are also necessary.
