Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar demanded that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan avoid an illegal and unconstitutional “Azadi March“.
Interior minister also tied Azadi March to guarantees of peace.
He also advised the PTI leadership to consult the district administration and they will decide whether the protest is legal and within the parameters of the Constitution.
The interior minster said that the PTI chief had himself, in the past, repeatedly demanded an independent committee of a three-judge Supreme Court commission to investigate into the allegations of irregularities in May 11, 2013 general elections.
He said “Islamabad cannot be left at the mercy of a proponent of bloodshed”
