According to sources, the army will take over internal security of the federal capital from tomorrow. Around 250 army men will be deployed in sensitive areas including the diplomatic enclave.
The army men will also patrol Margalla hills. Sources said that security is being handed over to the army to thwart the possible backlash of military operation targeting militants in Waziristan.
Following the breaking and entering of Sikh protestors into the parliament house, the interior minister had expressed dissatisfaction over the police security.
