After reduction in petroleum prices the goods transporters announced to reduced the fares by 5% .
According to the transport union, the goods transport fares have been reduced by 5%.
The reduction in transport fares will benefit traders and industrialists. This will also reduce the cost of production of various products that will ultimately result in some relief for the end users.
However, on the other hand the Karachi transporters have refused to reduce the fare despite reduction in petroleum prices.
Karachi citizens have expressed concern and anger and have demanded the government to take adequate steps against the transporters.
The Transport Minister has also supported public transporters saying that the bus fares in Sindh are already low as compared to those in Punjab.
