Two dead bodies were found stuffed in gunny bags from the outskirts of Islamabad near Thana Sabzi Mandi.
The victims was identified as Anam Saleem, who had recently returned to Islamabad from United Arab Emirates. Her dead body was found dumped in the jurisdiction of Thana Sabzi Mandi.
According to initial reports, Anam Saleem, 26, was strangled to death before her body was tied and stuffed in a gunny bag and then thrown by a roadside.
According to police, a taxi was used to dispose of the body, who has been identified with the help of CCTV cameras installed under Islamabad Safe City Surveillance Program.
The deceased belonged to Kharian town of Punjab.
Police say her parents have been called to Islamabad for identification of the body.
On September 23, a body of a 50-year-old man was recovered near Haji Camp in the jurisdiction of Noon police station in Islamabad.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained as fingerprints of the slain man have been sent to NADRA. (PhotoNews / Samaa News)
