The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four employees of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) over fake CNICs.
The employees have been arrested for creating illegal identity cards during a raid Monday evening at the organisation’s office in the city’s Defence locale, it said.
The arrested NADRA employees were accused of making illegal Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) for foreigners based on fake information and certificates, FIA explained.
Following its raid, the Agency disclosed it had recovered from the mega centre illegal CNICs created for foreigners, fake certificates, as well as NADRA’s records.
