Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday ordered re-elections in the PK-95 constituency of the KP province.
The decision came after public outcry over reports that women voters were not allowed to cast their votes in the by-polls held on the seat vacated by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq following his election as a Senator.
JI won the seat in by-elections held in early May. Aizal-ul-Mulk Afkari won the polls with ANP’s Bahadur Khan as runner-up.
