The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday filed a terror bid in Multan.
According to the CTD officials, on an intelligence report, a raid was conducted and arrested four activists of banned outfit.
CTD officials while talking to media said that the suspects arrested belong to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. The suspected militants were identified as Nasir, Ali, Tahir and Shafqat.
The suspects had plotted terrorist attack on processions held on the ninth of Muharram in Multan, CTD officials claims.
The CTD also claimed to have recovered six hand grenades, two pistols, one IED (improvised explosive device), two-kilogram explosives, three-meter detonating cord, eight-meter safety, and ten detonators from the suspects.
Police registered a case against the suspects and started further investigation.
