A box containing prize bonds of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) went missing from a Karachi Express train when it reached the city from Lahore on Saturday.
According to Railway sources, 10 boxes of SBP currency and prize bonds were being transported via train from Lahore to Karachi.
The train was scheduled to arrive in Karachi Cantt Railway Station at 12:00 midnight on Friday, however, it was two hours late.
Police sources said that 10 police officials were deployed for security of the boxes.
However, a sub-inspector was found unconscious in Cantt Railway Station washing area, while other police personnel on security got off the train at Hyderabad.
SSP Railway police has ordered a high-level probe into the incident.
