An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has accepted the bail application of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anis Qaimkhani .
On July 19, the court has rejected interim bail plea of Qaimkhani following which he was arrested in Dr Asim terror facilitation case from the premises of the court along with other politicians of Pakistan leading parties.
While hearing his case today (Saturday), the ATC issued notices to the applicant and prosecutor including other concerned authorities.
They have now been summoned on July 27 by the court.
On the other hand, lawyers of PPP’s Abdul Qadir Patel have also filed a bail application, seeking medical assistance for the Pakistan People’s Party leader in a B-class cell in prison.

Qaimkhani and Patel are in Karachi Central Jail along with MQM’s Abdul Rauf Siddiqui and Wasim Akhtar in the case pertaining to providing treatment and shelter to alleged terrorists in hospitals run by Dr Asim Hussain, a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari.
On Friday, the ATC permitted Qaimkhani’s arrest in another case registered during the year 1994 in Hyderabad Cantt in which he has been declared accused on the counts of firing and torching vehicles.
The Sindh High Court had already rejected bail applications of MQM leaders, Abdul Rauf Siddiqui and Wasim Akhtar.
