An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi issued today arrest warrants for five key witnesses in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
Arrest warrants have been issued for SSP Loralai Ashfaq Anwar, SP Javed Khan, Assistant Director FIA Khalid Jamil, one Nisar Khan and a Bilawal House employee, Mehrani.
The court has also summoned the witnesses on February 9 to record their statements.
Former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally, months after she returned to Pakistan in 2007 from years in self-imposed exile.
The government at the time blamed Tehreek-e-Taliban militants and former president General Pervez Musharraf said he warned her of the danger she faced.
