Pakistan Peoples Party leader Yousuf Raza Gillani’s guards opened fire at Imran Khan’s convoy on Sunday.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in a statement alleged that a vehicle behind Imran’s convoy came under fire, with a PTI leader, Faisal Javed, in it. However, Javed escaped unhurt as the vehicle he was in in bulletproof, it added.
A case will be filed against Gillani’s son Ali Musa, the PTI statement read.
However, Ali Musa has denied the allegations, saying they were baseless.
“But no bullet was fired from our end,” Ali Musa said.
Ali Musa added when they called 15, the police helpline, they we got to know that the five vehicles were in Imran Khan’s convoy.
In a statement on Twitter, former PTI general secretary Jahangir Tareen said
Strongly condemn the attack on Khan sb’s convoy in Okara. Not only should the perpatrators be caught immediately, but Govt should also beef up IK’s security to avoid similar incidents in future.
