At least 200 Pakistani passengers have stuck at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.
According to local news channel ‘Geo News’ approximately, 200 Pakistani citizens are stranded at Istanbul airport as all flights to Turkey diverted and departures from Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport were cancelled amid a coup attempt unfolded in the country on Friday.
A Pakistani passenger while talking from Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport to ‘Geo News said “We are waiting for the flights since 20 hours here at airport,” .
Meanwhile, Pakistan Embassy in Ankara and Consulate General in Istanbul have released emergency contact numbers for the assistance of the Pakistani community in Turkey.
The number of Embassy in Ankara is 0090-505-979-5393 and Consulate General number in Istanbul is 0090-532-568-3413.
According to a spokesman of Pakistan Consulate General flights are being rescheduled for Pakistani passengers.
“All Pakistanis are safe in Turkey, nobody is hurt during the attempted coup bid,” he said.
